Venter's Venture is the website home of your leading Independent Amsoil Dealership, owned and operated by Bob Venter. As the proprietors of this lovely shop, we thought you might like to get to know the owner so here goes:

Bob is a native of La Junta, Colorado who moved to Oklahoma around the end of WWII. He joined the Army and became an Army pilot in Korea, flying the L-19 Birddog aircraft as a forward air controller. Bob drove for Transcon Trucking until retiring in 1990. During this time Bob received awards for his flying skills and was featured in an army training film about forward air control. Bob retired from the Army and returned to Oklahoma.

After the Army Bob became an over-the-road truck driver for Transcon Trucking where he worked until he retired in 1990. During this period, in 1978 Bob became an Independent AMSOIL Dealer.

Bob poses with his plane Bob during his Civil Air Patrol days During his truck driving days, Bob joined and became active in the Civil Air Patrol. He flew search and rescue missions, as well as disaster damage assessment flights. Bob logged more than 1,000 hours as a CAP pilot and continued flying until 2001 when he retired from the cockpit and hung up his wings.


A Very Special Person... Bob has been, and continues to be, a clown for the India Shriners. This is his labor of love, providing joy and happiness to children of all ages. The India Shrine clowns are world renowned for their charitable help with children. Their hospitals are known nationally for their efforts in orthopedic and burn treatment. As a clown Bob strives to put a smile on everyone's face. His signature antic, when out at a restaurant, is to leave the tip inside a blown up balloon.

As an Independent AMSOIL dealer Bob, with loads of help from his wife Janie, is one Bob and wife Janie of the national leaders in the AMSOIL system. He has attended classes on lubrication, sales, and product application & management at AMSOIL headquarters in Superior, Wisconsin. Even today, Bob is one of the top authorities on AMSOIL in the Midwest. Bob continues to further his knowledge and education, taking correspondence courses and continuing to update his expertise in these incredible products. Bob achieved "Direct Jobber" status in the early 1980's and is a LIFETIME INDEPENDENT AMSOIL DEALER and remains America's Leader in Lubrication Products.
